This window and menu option allows you to execute any command, as if you had typed it in a Shell window.

At the right end of the window, there is a small gadget which allows you to select the command to execute through a file requester.

If the command outputs some text while executing, a console window (similar to the one used by the Shell) is automatically opened on Workbench, and it remains there until you select its close gadget. The current directory for the command execution is set to the active window directory if there is such a selected window, otherwise it's Ram Disk:.
