This window allows you to rename a file, a drawer, or a disk. |

This option allows you to change the name of a disk, a drawer or a file. Select the icon(s) to rename, select "Rename", and then type in the new name in the appearing requester. |

Delete the old name using Backspace or right Amiga+X and enter the new name. Do not use spaces before or after the new name. Because leading or trailing spaces are often not clearly visible on the Workbench, they can cause confusion if you have to type in the icon name again. |

If several icons are selected, you will be prompted for new names, one by one. |

Press Return. The new name appears under the icon. |

Some characters are not usable in a name: ":" and "/". These have special meanings in AmigaOS. |
